Help me find a Ford 9"
I need one about 65" wms to wms and 5 lug.
I'd like for it to have 31 spline, big bearings, and a nodular case. Those are all wishes...I can upgrade it later.
So, what did this axle come in?
Also, disc brakes...what's the easiest and cheapest way to do them?
Thanks!

Re: Help me find a Ford 9"
Full size Bronco from late 70's all the way to 1986. They are exactly 65 inches wide, 5 on 5.5, 31 spline and big bearing pinion. I got mine out of an 82 for 25 bucks.

Re: Help me find a Ford 9"
that is exactly what mine was. Out of a 78 F100.
Keep in mind the factory Nodular cases are hard to find. I just got lucky. Didn't realize what I had.
Also there are 2 nodular cases. One his bigger bearing journals that can take a 35spl carrier with no modifications. Don't know how to tell the difference though.

Re: Help me find a Ford 9"
Don't think you'll finds anything stock like that (60" wms to wms 5on5.5, 31 spline, and big bearing). I think your gonna have to buy an aftermarket housing...

Re: Help me find a Ford 9"
Are 9"s hard to find where you are? They're so common around here I get tired of tripping all over them when I go to the junkyard. A Nodular case is going to be hard to find. What I did is order a complete built drop-in third with choice of gear and locker from strange. Mine is a 68" WMS out of a '86 van. 31 spl. 5 on 5.5 Don't spend more than $80 on a bone stock one. That's dumb.

58.5 to 60" wide and 5 on 5.
Anybody know anything about it?

I think the car 9inches were small bearing, though I may be wrong.

I think it is some of the mark IV's and Vs that have the disc brakes and they are big bearing fo sho ( I pull the brakes whenever I see them in a jy and sell them for big $).
