Busted an alloy 9" shaft. The bearing retainer I had for the spare had holes that were too small. Turns out they were in the wrong location too. We pretty much had the shaft done and except for the bearing retainer in 2 hours.

So just left it on the trailer and spotted/rode with xjtrailrider. Freaking poured and got soaked. But he did armorall with realatively no wheel spin and a little drama.

Also welder, but he wisely bypassed the waterfall. Where I broke the day before.

Friday was beautiful. Rolled into camp around 1. It was 78 deg. I cooked lunch and we hit the trail. Just did some general trail riding for a couple hours. Got really freaking lost. The maps for that place suck big time. I did the longest hill climb I've ever done. I bet it was at least a mile. We just kept driving and turning. We figured we could find out way back because we were the only people there and every where we turned we dug up the dirt. Around 5 we turned around because we didn't want to get stuck after dark. So had to go back down the hillclimb. Just put in in 1st and crawled down it.

Then on the way out hit the waterfall. I broke. We went up a little further to stepout then decided to head to camp to repair.

Rained like crap on saturday. I rode with Jon and Gabe road with the buggy. I spotted Jon up armorall and got soaked because it was pouring. Got back to camp around 1. Ont eh road around 1:30 as I was already on teh trailer and packed up.

All in all a great trip, even though I couldn't wheel the second day. Stupid retainer. I'm just gonna make my own. Since the one I have from randy's isn't the right one. Then warranty my shaft.

I discovered that my bearing retainter on my spare shaft was wrong once too... I took a grinder and made it fit -
